A question that we all need to ask ourselves as this production moves on is, "Who are we?"
Now I know someone of you might say, "Um, uh yeah, we're the cast and crew of family." Yes, we are the cast and crew of Family, but we are really more than that. We are a bunch of individuals who have come together to produce something that has never been produced before-not in Spring Arbor, Jackson or anywhere else in the world! We are a bunch of people who have various levels of experience.
Some people in the cast have decades of experience in musical theatre and staging while others have no experience at all. But, believe it or not, the amount of expereince one has is not more important than the desire to excel.
So, who are we?
We are the cast and crew of the world premier of Family the Musical. Everyone involved in this production will be able to say-ten, twenty or thirty years from now,-"I was a part of the first production of Family the Musical, and I had a blast!!!
We are also a bunch of people that God brought together. He knew who needed to...

We are starting to see some real progress with Family. The blocking is going very well and the kids choreography is looking great!!!

Again my heart felt thanks to all of those people who are making this dream come true. Thank, thank you, thank you!!!

Tweleve years ago, I had a dream. I had a dream to write a musical based on a chiildren's story I heard growing up as a child. I wrote that musical in 1998, and yesterday evening, the dream of having that musical produced took solid steps forward. After the callbacks were done and everyone had gone home, I walked into the performance area and imagined it filled with all of the cast. It was a great and humbling moment. I thought to myself, "Twelve years of being patient. Twelve years of waiting for the timing to be right. Twelve years of waiting for the Lord to say, 'Okay, now it's time.'"
Well, the time is upon us. Let us work together for the good of others. Let us learn the lines and the songs. Let us direct with compassion and humility. Let us remember the reason we are doing this production-to lift people's spirits and offer them encouragement. Let us do the best we can with the help of God. It has begun my friends. It has begun.

Dear friends, much appreciation and gratitude goes to Ann Holt for finally getting Family off of the ground and headed into an actual production. I am thrilled, excited and yes, scared to death as to what this all means for the next three months of my life. But, God willing, I'm ready for it to happen!!! Keep coming back for more news!!!
